Void God Announcement - 09/23/2026

Our next project is:

Void God

a physical card game coming soon to crowdfunding. Void God is a PvP card game in which you draft a deck from the game's card pool and then use it to duel with another player. It takes place in an original setting. Check out the synopsis at the game's page on our site if you're interested. Also explained on that site is the game's main gimmick: the ability to use other card game's cards within it. Here I'll go over more meta-level things about it. Basically, I've been doing this thing for a while where I force people to play Magic the Gathering with me but my decks have Pokemon and Inscryption and playing and tarot cards in them. Trolled. I was doing this sporadically during LNS development, and during that time I tried making it actually balanced and whatnot. At the same time, Anumania also suggested we make some custom cards to mess around with. I took it way too far and started making lore. And a sixth color. Void God is the end result of all of that, a ruleset for card interoperability and a lore package all-in-one. And we support a whole lot more than just Magic. It also features a lot of card mechanics you wouldn't see in other games. Aw yeah. Speaking of lore, I would like to note that Void God might not be what you're expecting, if you're imagining the writing is like Lensed Night Sky. I mean, it's cards with no cutscenes, so the medium is pretty different to begin with. I've been trying to make something more ambient, more of a "mood" than a "narrative". Small stories have worked their way into the cards, but the cards are more just trying to express a feeling. I think it's turning out interestingly, and I might also be able to slide some short story in the box for it. We have a much, much larger-scale narrative-based project we are starting to work on, so if you were counting on that sort of thing from us, don't worry. Void God exists partially to springboard us to being able to make that big guy, so if you'd like to support us in the long-term, please take a look at it when it launches on Kickstarter. And of course, this game is canon. Anyway, important to note is that this is NOT a live-service game like the games it aims to be interoperable with. Void God is bought one time, has everything in it, and if we ever make expansions, they'll be boxed and not booster packs or any of that nonsense. It's a big ol' cube you can add as many more cards into as you'd like. We'll have a Kickstarter page ready to show things off soon. Until then, check out our socials for some posts. By the way the name "Void God" is subject to change. We will see. Also check out the Lensed Night Sky update! --- The four domains of the afterlife should have been seperated by absolute boundaries. But fissures have been made in the walls, an incredible and freeing disaster. Pockets appear, which let souls touch layers that were not their own. But how could touching be enough? How could seeing be enough? We have to leave a mark on it, and take something home with us. And why shouldn't we? Combat does not so easily obliterate someone from the whirlpool. This war is a luxury, and we shall indulge in it well. This is a story of tireless longing, where the grass is always greener. Longing, held back by fear, to move a powerful body, for the new self, for glory and power. How funny is it, then, that when we can receive a true wish, we don't know what to ask?
